"If you have policy that kills the disease of poverty, then you can kill the symptom of negative rap."-Rhymefest in response to Tory (Conservative Party) leader David Cameron's criticism of DJs for playing violent songs (Metro, 20/10/06)
true dat, meda...but the cool thing is that a Black American hip hop artist and a White British political leader are dialoguing about social responsibility over a cup of tea! it's a start. How often do we see American politicians engaging/communicating (in a productive way) with rappers/artists from foreign countries-or anyone really?
Too true. Our politicians don't give a rat's ass about anything but money- they don't care about most real issues here and they sure as HELL don't care about what's happening elsewhere. God Bless America. Land that I loved.
Oh well, maybe next election will be cool...even though I think that all of the talk about the Democrats winning has jinxed everything. F___ that.
